Stevio...LA LA Lovin' It?

I'm British-born Chinese from Bristol, UK. I’m LA-based. I’m a hip hop aficionado. After 15 years in London I moved to LA to pursue a new career and outlook on life.

Back in the 80s I was a DJ. In the 90s I contributed to the world's first street style exhibition at London's Victoria & Albert Museum. In 2011, I had my first interviews published. Today, I’m keeping busy with music, art, photos and writing.

Buff Monster in my neighbourhood

It was Sat night and I squeezed in a short stop at a boutique called 181 Martel near my yard before seeing Ryan, Mark and Betty. It was the opening party of some merchandise from Buff Monster an LA muralist who people love or hate. I kinda like the Japanese Murakami style graphics...really cutesy-commercial.

I'm not sure about the obvious sex organs in the paintings, but time will tell. Anyway, I met Buff himself and had a chat about his work for Helio, the cool new US/Korean mobile phone company. Buff told me that he's also the creative director for their mag! Cool! I happened to be wearing my Y3 fuscia silk sweatshirt which blended well into the artwork!
