Stevio...LA LA Lovin' It?

I'm British-born Chinese from Bristol, UK. I’m LA-based. I’m a hip hop aficionado. After 15 years in London I moved to LA to pursue a new career and outlook on life.

Back in the 80s I was a DJ. In the 90s I contributed to the world's first street style exhibition at London's Victoria & Albert Museum. In 2011, I had my first interviews published. Today, I’m keeping busy with music, art, photos and writing.

Quiet storm...my street art articles

It arrived in the post...a members' invite to the Museum of Contemporary Art show, "Art in the Streets."

It's been quiet on my blog over these past few weeks. I've been busy working on meeting my deadlines for a series of street art articles that will be published in UNleashed Magazine, a Los Angeles/New York-based lifestyle magazine. Hopefully you get to see it as it's relaunching this spring with a tribute to the Art in the Streets show (at The Geffen at Museum of Contemporary Art exhibition that opens this April.)

Fab 5 Freddy and me on video Skype!

As Street Art Curator to the magazine I managed to interview the major players in the street art scene, both past and present: Fab 5 Freddy and Patti Astor; Nick Walker (and Lainya Magana); TATS Cru and Scion; and the legendary, Futura 2000.

I won't give away the essence of the stories until the magazine gets distributed, but the articles are enlightening and had some surprising revelations, even for an avid follower of hip hop culture like myself! I'll keep you posted. And make sure you check out the show in LA or NYC.
